Lamination:

Matt laminate has an effect that evens out the printed inks giving a flat, reflection free canvas which is perfect for adding a contrasting secondary finishing option like a gloss spot UV.

Finishing Options:

Spot UV is low height gloss that can be printed in any shape, so it can be used to sit on top of your logo or used on its own to create gloss highlights on it own. This looks great sitting on a matt laminated card. The contrast makes the Spot UV stand out. This is now also offered on 420gsm Artboard stock.

Raised Print is a high height gloss embellishment that is actually a powder much like the materials used in ceramics. It is not as sharp as spot UV but the extra height gained can be used to create some very nice effect. For this reason, make sure the area you want to make raised is at least 3mm thick.

Embossed is a technique of punching the cards with a male and female plates. sometimes called blind embossing which braille is created with. So you actually “feel” the embossed area. For this reason, you will have an indent on the back side of the card where the punch has pushed the board into shape. Embossing can be used together with spot UV to give a stunning effect of high height and a gloss highlight. Keep the minimum width of at least 3mm for the effect to work correctly.

Custom Die Cutting is the process of stamping out your card to a shape that you design. Use this to create simple rounding on one or two corners or add a contour that follows your logo shape. You can be creative by giving your card that creative edge that will enhance your business’s personality.

Foil is a metallic finish offered in variety of colours. Foil stamping is a luxurious effect that is not possible with ink. We use a super fine foil that is stamped on the card using heat and pressure in any shape you like, within the thickness limits of our machinery. Foiled business cards look great with a matt laminated card and also in tandem with an embossed card. This is now also offered on 420gsm Artboard stock.
